Ambasadori i Bashkimit Evropian në Kosovë, Dirk Schuebel, ka zhvilluar të mërkurën takime të ndara me kryetarët e katër komunave veriore, si dhe me kryetarin e Mitrovicës së Jugut, Faton Peci.
Në takimin me kryetarët e komunave veriore, ku ishte i pranishëm edhe nënkryetari i Listës Serbe, Igor Simiq, Schuebel tha se diskutuan për sfidat me të cilat përballen komunat në ofrimin e shërbimeve për qytetarët.
Përmes një postimi në rrjetin social X, ambasadori evropian theksoi edhe nevojën për forcimin e bashkëpunimit ndërmjet institucioneve qendrore dhe atyre lokale, duke e lidhur këtë me procesin e integrimit të Kosovës në Bashkimin Evropian.
Schuebel tha se BE-ja do të vazhdojë të mbështesë zhvillimin e qeverisjes demokratike lokale në të gjitha komunat e Kosovës.
Ndërkaq, në takimin me kryetarin e Mitrovicës së Jugut, Faton Peci, diskutimi u përqendrua po ashtu në forcimin e bashkëpunimit ndërmjet pushtetit qendror dhe atij lokal.

Most EU-related reforms are implemented at the municipal level.
